When you interact with us, we may collect your name, address, email address(es), telephone number(s), and, where appropriate, date of birth.
We may collect information about you whenever you interact with us. For example, when you contact regarding our activities, register as a supporter, send or receive information or sign a petition, you specifically and knowingly provide us with your personal information. We may also receive information about you from third parties – but only if you have given them permission to share your information.
We will not be responsible for the privacy of data collected by websites not owned or managed by Charity, including those linked through our website.
If you are not satisfied with the response, please contact us at info@origamifactroy.co with the details explaining your concerns. We will review your complaint and investigate if the right procedures have been followed and respond back to you as appropriate. We aim to complete this investigation within 15 working days of receiving your complaint, however, in some cases it may take longer. If you are still unsatisfied with the response, you may contact us.
Terms & Conditions – Origami Factory
1.1: Confirmed Bookings
Your bookings are only confirmed by payment. Failure to pay on time will result in your place being offered to another parent on our waiting list. We aim to give plenty of notice to avoid disappointment.
1.2: All Bookings Are Non-Refundable
All bookings (membership, kit, grading, etc.) are final. Once you book, that place is no longer available to others on our waiting list. Refunds are not granted under any circumstances, including events such as relocation, health issues, travel restrictions, or pandemics. Neither Origami Factory nor the Customer shall be considered in breach of this Contract if prevented from fulfilling obligations (excluding payment) due to a Force Majeure event.
1.3: Force Majeure
Either party affected by Force Majeure must notify the other immediately and work in good faith to alleviate its effects. Delays due to Force Majeure will not be deemed breaches of this agreement, and deadlines will be extended in writing.
1.4: Price Changes
We may change our prices with 30 days’ notice. Prices are fixed for the duration of your booked period (monthly, termly, annually).
1.5: Catch-Up Classes
We do not offer catch up classes. Should you need to rearrange or reschedule a class, 14 days notice must be given. Consideration will be given, however, there is no guarantee that we will be able to offer additional classes.
1.6: Images of Your Child
By agreeing to these terms, you consent to us capturing and using photos/videos of your child for promotional or educational purposes (including digital and print). Other parents may also take photos at events where your child could appear.
1.7: Instructors Team
We have a dedicated team of Origami Factory instructors committed to teaching martial arts and character development. Instructor schedules may vary to expose students to diverse teaching styles.
1.8: Parents Watching
Parents may observe only the introduction and grading classes. Regular observation is discouraged to promote independence and avoid classroom disruption. Only authorised staff and ambassadors may be present during sessions.
1.9: Ambassadors
Our ambassadors share highlights from training through social media, offering parents insights into class activity without disrupting sessions.
1.10: Origami Factory Kit
Only official Origami Factory gear is allowed to ensure safety and consistency. This includes uniforms, belts, sparring gear, and training tools—all available via our online shop.
1.11: Gradings and Graduations
Grading eligibility depends on class attendance (minimum 85%), behaviour standards, and 100% online progress tracking. Attendance alone doesn’t guarantee promotion. Gradings cost 250 AED + VAT for belts under blue; advanced gradings cost more. Students must bring their licence book.
1.12: Cancelled Classes
Missed classes will be made up through additional sessions added at a time decided by the Origami Factory staff. If more than one class per month is cancelled by us, a Zoom class will be offered. Refunds are not issued for cancellations (see section 1.2).
1.13: Termination of Classes by Origami Factory
We screen new families to ensure alignment with our values. Disrespectful or aggressive behaviour from parents will not be tolerated. In serious cases, we reserve the right to terminate membership and refund any unused classes at 100 AED/class or issue a formal written warning.
1.14: Late Pick-Up Policy
If your child is picked up over 20 minutes late, a 100 AED fee will be charged to cover instructor time.
1.15: Late Drop-Off Policy
Late arrivals disrupt class. Please arrive 5 minutes early and wait outside until class begins.
1.16: Change of Location or Timings
We may change class locations/times if necessary. Refunds are not available if a session is moved after booking.
1.17: Membership Payments & Fines
Fees are due on the 1st of each month. Failed payments will be retried. After 15 days of non-payment, a 100 AED admin fee applies. After 20 days, your child will be withdrawn from classes.
1.17a: Membership Inclusions

When you enroll your child into our programme in order to get the best results, we encourage all parents to utilise their membership to the fullest extent.
1.18: Community Engagement
We encourage families to engage fully. Have you:

Had your goal planning and setting session with your child’s instructor?
Attended every session?
Completed the confidence check in?
1.19: Cancelling Membership
One month’s written notice is required. Final charges will be prorated and processed before your membership ends. Classes continue during the notice period.
1.20: Annual Memberships
Annual memberships are heavily discounted and bound by strict terms:
Fixed 12-month duration. Auto-renews unless one month’s notice is given.
No pauses or freezes (including travel or illness), unless a doctor confirms the child cannot attend in person and online.
Covers 45 active teaching weeks annually (2 weeks off in December, 2 in August, ~3 for holidays).
Monthly membership fees are constant regardless of class count each month.
Grading invitations are issued every 6 months. Grading costs 250 AED + VAT and includes assessments, certificates, records processing, and retry options.
By enrolling your child at Origami Factory , you acknowledge and accept that participation in physical activities, including martial arts training, carries inherent risks. While we take all reasonable steps to provide a safe environment, accidents, injuries, and unforeseen health issues can occur.
You agree that Origami Factory , its staff, instructors, and representatives shall not be held liable for any injury, illness (including but not limited to communicable diseases such as COVID-19 or its variants), loss, damage, or expense that may arise directly or indirectly from participation in classes, events, or use of our facilities.
You further confirm that:
Your child is fit and able to participate in physical training and has no medical condition that would make participation unsafe.
You will inform Origami Factory immediately of any change to your child’s medical condition that could impact their training.
You will comply with all health, safety, and hygiene procedures as communicated by the academy.
Origami Factory reserves the right to modify safety measures in accordance with updated government guidelines or internal policy to protect the well-being of all students and staff.
By agreeing to these terms, you release Origami Factory and its affiliates from any liability arising from personal injury, illness, or property loss incurred during participation in its programmes, except in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
